1,745 crimes were recorded within 600 m of the centre of Woking in the 12 months to August 2026, about 145 a month. That is the 4th highest of the 49 Surrey towns compared, so it sits in the busier quarter. Busy town centres record more crime because more people pass through, so this says little about the quieter residential streets around them. That is well above the median town, as larger town centres with shops and stations usually are. The most recent months were 7% higher than the months before.
